General Terms and Conditions applicable to Use of a Web Site.
MEASURING DISCLAIMER
Woodnation manufactures blinds according to the measurements and specifications you supplied to us. We are not responsible for any incorrect details made by you when the order is placed. Make sure you have read or viewed our detailed Measuring Guide for the product you are interested in before completing your order. However, if we make a mistake when manufacturing your blinds, we will repair them or replace them at no cost to you. If you have doubts regarding measurements please bring it to our attention and our staff will be happy to assist you.
Computer monitors have different settings and calibrations that display colours differently and not 100% accurate. Although we do our best to portray the colour as close as possible, we strongly suggest to order free colour samples before placing your order. Woodnation offers a maximum of 10 free colour samples. Also, even the actual sample can have slight colour variations compared to finished blinds. This is because they did not come from the same batch. This is the reason why you need to fill in the room or location where your blinds will be fitted so as to ensure that all blinds in the same room came from the same batch.
Timber or wooden venetian colours have natural variances in wood’s colour and grain. This obviously causes slight variation in colours from stained timber or wood blinds. Again, it is best to order these blinds all at the same time.
One of the characteristics of Western Red Cedar is its tone variation that gives a genuine timber effect, which means that some part of the blind will be lighter or darker.
Woodnation offers 24 months warranty on all of our products. This covers defects in material and workmanship.
The following are not covered by this warranty:
o Damages due to faulty installations (unless installed by authorised Woodnation Installers)
o Alteration
o Damaged by animals
o Lack of preventive maintenance
o Misuse and abuse
o Damaged by fire, storm, wind, explosive device, failure of structure or impact from mechanical source
o Commercial use (unless installed by authorised Woodnation Installers)
Woodnation will repair any defective product during the warranty period. Any freight cost shall be covered by the customer. The warranty is extended to the original purchaser only, in the original windows for which it was intended in residential properties only.
Our obligation to you:
For claims covered by the warranty, Woodnation will replace or repair any product with like or similar parts, found to be defective as a result of faulty materials. This excludes shipping costs.
What is your responsibility?
All claims under this warranty must be reported to the place of purchase within 7 days of when the defect is first discovered or could have reasonably been discovered. You must provide Woodnation with a reasonable opportunity to inspect the product before a claim can be approved and repairs started. You must provide proof of purchase. Please note the warranty period will not be extended by any such repair or replacement. Custom painting or lacquering of the original product will void the warranty.
Warranty limits:
Warranty does not apply to any Woodnation product or parts thereof which fail due to accident, alterations, improper use, abuse, neglect, normal wear, nor colour fading due to sunlight or direct exposure to salt air, failure to follow instructions for measuring and installing or operating the product.
Wood blinds:
A defect visible with the naked eye in natural daylight at a distance of greater than 1.2 meters is acceptable for assessment under Compete Blinds & Shutters warranty. Wood blinds are a natural product. Slight warpage and variations in colour, texture and grain are characteristic of real wood. These variations will be especially visible in blinds with light coloured stains. The variations are normal and natural and are considered of acceptable quality.
Any defect, malfunction or other failure of the product to conform to this limited warranty will be remedied by Woodnation solely in the manner provided in this warranty.
CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS AND RETURNS
Cancellations and changes in orders can only be done within 24 hours after the order is placed. Please phone our office to ensure that we have been advised within this period of time. The production of your blinds will commence after 24 hours (next business day) upon receipt of your order. Any changes or cancellation after this time frame is no longer possible.
Woodnation will not refund any money or issue any credits for a purchase if the cancellation or changes occur at any time beyond 24 hour period.
Our products are all custom made to your specifications and therefore they are not suitable for resale. We strongly observe a No Return and No Refund policy.
Please review all details and check for any errors before placing your order. We require all orders to be fully paid when the order is placed.
Woodnation reserves the right to cancel or decline your orders for the following reasons:
All prices displayed on our website are GST included. The total amount of GST paid is also displayed in the Shopping Cart.
The normal production period for most of our timber blinds products is approximately 2 weeks. This estimated manufacturing time excludes public holidays. This also depends on the availability of stock. Any delays caused by unavailability of stock is beyond our control. Savers Blinds will make every effort to notify you as soon as we receive notice of any backorders or discontinued colours from our suppliers.
